Hi, I‘m Laura, the Designer & Maker behind Anna Elijah Jewellery. I am based in Hertfordshire, England and I love creating unique pieces that are a little out of the ordinary and fun and beautiful to wear!
I originally trained as a scientist and worked in labs for 10 years, before deciding to pursue a more creative career. My jewellery making journey really began in 2018, when I tried making something from silver clay for the first time in my kitchen. I loved it & decided to start taking jewellery making seriously, teaching myself traditional silversmithing techniques from online tutorials and then discovering and becoming a member of the amazing 'Jewellers Academy'. As my skill set grew I began designing and making pieces to sell and opened an Etsy shop, calling it 'Anna Elijah Jewellery' which is a combination of parts of mine and my children's names and has special meaning to me.
I work mainly with recycled silver sheet and wire, silver clay and copper. In the past year I have branched out into enamelling which I love! Buying my own kiln was a pivotal moment and has made so much difference to my silver clay and enamelling work. I always find it exciting opening the kiln door to see how each piece has turned out and it's always different every time which is all part of the fun!

2024 was a very exciting year as I had the opportunity to dedicate a lot more time to my jewellery making and turn it into a proper business. In April I began selling my work in a lovely new local gift shop (Studio 42) and starting running jewellery making workshops there. I also created this website, which I look forward to improving and growing.
Making jewellery which is ethical and sustainable is very important to me.
All pieces are handmade by myself and I use recycled metals in my work, from responsible suppliers, and lead-free enamels. All orders are sent out in FSC certified packaging.
I hope you enjoy browsing my website. Be sure to sign up to my VIP Jewellery Group to be the first to hear about new jewellery and special offers! Also please do follow me on social media to see what I am getting up to each week at my workbench and do get in touch if you have any questions, or would like something specific made.
